Raised by her mother, Thea Buechner, and her folk-musician stepfather, Genevieve showed a passion for acting from a very young age. At three years old, she persistently asked her mother to let her take acting lessons. Initially opposed to this career choice, Thea eventually relented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the family moved to Vancouver, Genevieve enrolled in acting classes at the Vancouver Youth Theatre. At 10 years old, she landed her first leading role in the film Saint Monica. The journey to this milestone, however, was far from smooth. She arrived at the audition unprepared, wearing untidy clothes and unkempt hair. Fortunately, casting director Carol Tarlington offered guidance, preparing her for the on-camera audition. Two years later, she appeared in the Canadian drama Mount Pleasant. In 2015, she took on the lead role of Annie Emerson in the television film Turkey Hollow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Genevieve is widely recognized as one of the wealthiest television actresses and ranks among the most popular.
